Dr. Valentina Bacciu holds a doctoral degree in Agrometeorology and Ecophysiology of Agricultural and Natural Ecosystems. Previously a research assistant at the USDA Forest Service (2008), a research scientist at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change Foundation (2010-2021), Valentina is now researcher at the Institute of BioEconomy – National Research Council (CNR IBE) – Sassari, Italy. She currently participates in several research projects on fire propagation, risk, danger issues with a special focus on fire emissions and the impacts of climate changes.
