Research Civil Engineer / U.S. Geological Survey
Sabine Loos is a Mendenhall Fellow with the U.S. Geological Survey in collaboration with the Natural Hazards Center working on developing socially equitable earthquake risk products. Broadly, her research surrounds the development of disaster information that centers users and the human experience. Sabine also co-chairs the Natural Hazards Center Researchers’ Meetings and co-founded the Risk & Resilience DAT/Artathon. Sabine completed her PhD in 2021 (Stanford University, Nanyang Technological University), MS in 2018 (Stanford University), BS in 2016 (Ohio State University), and will join the University of Michigan in 2023.
