Director, Construction Regulations and Standards Section / Construction Industry Development Department, The Maldives

Mrs. Fathimath Shaufa is the Director of Construction Regulations and Standards Section of the Construction Industry Development Department at the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, Republic of Maldives. She is one of the key persons involved in the intial development and of the Construction Act and development of regulations under the Act. She is presently involved in the formulation of Compliance documents for the implementation of the Building Code and actively involved in the project to develop an e-permitting portal in the Maldives. Her vision is to standardize the Construction works in the Maldives, establish strong frameworks for quality control and revolutionize the public services for the construction sector during her service.
