Professor in Applied Digital Geospatial Research / University of Turku, Department of Geography and Geology

Niina Käyhkö is a Professor in Applied Digital Geospatial Research at the Dept. of Geography and
Geology, University of Turku, Finland. Her research is rooted in accelerating application value of digital
geospatial data and technologies through community engagement and learning. Niina has 20 years of
experience in research, education and development cooperation in rapidly developing countries. She is
one of the coordinators of the Tanzania Resilience Academy.
