Robert Soden is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto where he organizes the Toronto Climate Observatory. Robert’s research sits at the intersection crisis informatics, human-centered computing (HCC), and science and technology studies (STS). He draws upon a range of ethnographic, participatory, and design research methods to evaluate and improve the technologies we use to understand and respond to environmental challenges like disasters and climate change. In addition to his academic work, Robert regularly consults to organizations such as the World Bank at the US National Hurricane Center.
