Doctoral Candidate / King’s College London
Shreyasi Choudhury is an ESRC-funded PhD student at King’s College London. Her research focuses on eliciting probabilistic judgements from local people to develop a Bayesian belief network for landslide hazard assessment in the Darjeeling Himalayas. During her research, she has also designed a serious game for risk mitigation. She has a three years’ work experience as a Natural Catastrophe risk analyst for RMSI, India. Her profile there involved hazard and vulnerability modelling, portfolio analysis, and stakeholder management. Shreyasi finishes her PhD in two weeks and is keen to collaborate for devising sustainable solutions to natural hazards and improve the lives of communities-at-risk.
