Carmen is a Public Sector Specialist in the Governance Global Practice at the World Bank, where she focuses on governance and public sector reform issues in Malaysia and other East Asian countries. Carmen has recently expanded her expertise to include climate governance, addressing the pressing challenges posed by climate change in the region. Before joining the World Bank, Carmen built a strong foundation in economic policy, working as an Economist at the Central Bank of Malaysia. She received her master’s degree in economics from the University of Auckland in New Zealand.
