Mr. Harold C. Lewis joined the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Information Technology in 2004 and was later seconded in 2006 to be part of the Value Added Tax Implementation Unit, in which he played a pivotal role in the implementation of the modern VAT system on 1st May 2007.
In 2016, Mr. Lewis rejoined the Ministry of Finance after his participation in the “Junior Debt Management Programme” (JDMP) sponsored by the Government of Canada and the International Monetary Fund in collaboration with the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB). Mr. Lewis was appointed Debt Manager, of the Debt Management Unit within the Ministry of Finance in 2018.
He holds a Master’s degree in Finance (Major:-Economic Policy) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics (major) and double minor in Statistics and Accounting.
Mr. Lewis is a dedicated public servant and enjoys active involvement in volunteerism work.
