Jeremy is the lead advisor on climate, environment and migration at IMPACT Initiatives, dedicated at better understanding climate and environmental risks using geospatial analysis and large scale quantitative methods.
With more than 10 years of experience in both humanitarian response and disaster risk management, he has applied his interest in understanding risk to conflict contexts especially in Ukraine as Country Coordinator for a period of 4 years. In Eastern Ukraine, IMPACT developed approaches to map both natural and anthropogenic hazards in conflict settings to promote integrated and localized approaches to disaster risk management in fragile contexts.
His current research interest continues to be on using both remote sensing and field data to understand how climate and environmental stressors interact with conflict and how this affects local level capacities to provide essential services to communities affected by overlapping crises.
