Jessica Schmidt, AICP, LEED AP, is an urban specialist within the World Bank’s Global Practice for Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience and Land. She also heads the World Bank’s Urbanscapes community of practice and brings with her technical and policy expertise in urban planning, sustainable development, and resilience. With a background in urban planning and design, she has influenced and led resilient urbanization projects focused on cities in South and East Asia and the Pacific. She holds a Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Studies from Columbia University.
