International cooperation managerJinjoo Kim(김진주) leads International Development at SI Analytics (SIA), pioneering company in the field of disaster management using satellite imagery and AI. She is contributing to the UN's 'Early Warning For All (EW4ALL)' initiative with SIA's AI-based weather intelligence solutions and damage assessment solution.Prior to joining SI Analytics, Jinjoo honed her skills as Manager of the International Development Division of the Korea Meteorological Institute, forging international partnerships and establishing meteorological international cooperation policies for Korea. Her expertise extends to project planning and management, evident in her planning skills on GCF Climate Information Early Warning System project for Fiji and Pacific countries, which aims to protect local communities from climate disasters. She has also managed climate adaptation projects across Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Kenya, and Tajikistan.Driven by a passion for climate change, she holds a master's degree in International Trade and Economic Development from Yonsei Graduate School of International Studies and actively researches AI’s potential to tackle climate challenges. Her interest in climate change began when she worked at the Korean Embassy in Mongolia as a Public Diplomacy Trainee for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea, where she witnessed communities grappling with the devastating effects of rapid desertification. She believes that AI can solve the global data inequality problem and play a major role in addressing climate change.
