Kanako Morita

Keio University

Kanako Morita is an associate professor at Keio University and an adjunct associate professor at the United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS). Her research interests focus on effective governance and financial mechanisms for sustainable development, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and biodiversity conservation. She received her Ph.D. from the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
She was a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Sixth Assessment Report WGIII Investment and Finance chapter and has been a lead author for the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) Transformative Change Assessment.
