Mr. MARUYAMA is a Director for International Coordination of River Engineering, International Affairs Office, Water and Disaster Management Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). He graduate from the Faculty of Graduate School of Engineering, Hokkaido University and joined the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) in 2008 . After holding various governmental positions such as Deputy Director, Urban Development and Improvement Division, City Bureau, MLIT from 2016-2018, Duputy Director, River Improvement and Management Division, Water and Disaster Management Bureau, MLIT from 2018-2019, and Director, Fukusima River and National Highway office, Tohoku Regional Development Bureau, MLIT from 2022-2024. He has been serving this position since April 2024.
