Matthias Bachmann works as a senior policy advisor for the Climate, Disaster Risk Reduction and Environment Section of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (Federal Department of Foreign Affairs), covering amongst other loss and damage (Paris Agreement/UNFCCC) as well as partnerships with multilateral climate and DRR funds. Previously, Matthias worked at the OECD in Paris (G7/G20 Sherpa team), the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the United Nations in New York and in Swiss representations in Afghanistan, Peru and Venezuela.
