Halik is a Disaster Risk Management Specialist in the East Asia Pacific region’s Urban and Disaster Risk Management team. He has experience in urban development and resilience, and specializes in infrastructure engineering, project management, and disaster risk management. Since joining the World Bank in 2016, he has worked on several projects across Indonesia, including slum upgrading, tourism development, post-disaster recovery, multi-hazard early warning system, and urban flood resilience projects. Prior to joining the Bank, Halik was an engineer in the oil and gas industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia and a master’s degree in engineering from University of Aberdeen, UK.
