Nihan Rafique is a Disaster Risk Management Specialist with the World Bank based in Islamabad, Pakistan. She has significant experience in sustainable development, disaster management, and climate change, having previously worked with UN agencies, think tanks, consulting firms, and national and local governments on multi-sectoral programming. At the World Bank, Nihan provides operational and analytical support for various projects, including the Bank’s flood response in Sindh, Pakistan, and the delivery of hydromet, climate, and early warning services in Afghanistan. She holds a Master of Public Policy from Duke University and has a keen interest in multidisciplinary research and evidence-based policy analysis.
