Dr. Olivia Jensen is the Deputy Director and Lead Scientist for Environment and Climate of the LRF Institute for the Public Understanding of Risk at the National University of Singapore. She is a social scientist with a background in public policy and economics. Her research is concerned with the perception and communication of risks and the design and evaluation of policy interventions to manage risk and strengthen community resilience, with applications to environmental risks in urban Asia. At IPUR, she partners with government agencies and international organisations to develop and deliver risk communication strategies; she is also the lead instructor on the EdX online course “Understanding and Communicating Risk.”
