PhD Candidate, Department of Civil EngineeringSanae Sasamori has 20 years of experience in infrastructure finance and PPPs (Public-Private Partnerships). After working for a think tank advising Japanese local goverments on PFI (Private Finance Initiative) projects, she structured loans for infrastructure projects and trade finance at Mizuho Bank (Tokyo, Singapore, London), and later worked as a senior infrastructure finance specialist at the World Bank's Global Infrastructure Facility, where she advised on PPPs. She is also the main author of the World Bank publication "Resilient Infrastrucutre PPPs: Contracts and Procurement- the Case of Japan". She is a PhD candidate at the University of Tokyo and holds MBA from Hitotsubashi University and MSc from Imperial College London.
