Session Organiser and PanellistThaisa Comelli is a researcher at the Institute for Risk and Disaster Reduction, University College London. With a background in urban planning, she has expertise in participatory and community-led approaches to sustainable and equitable urban development for adaptation, disaster risk reduction and resilience. Over the last ten years she has worked in more than twelve different urban contexts across Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia, navigating across academic, institutional and technical environments at different levels.
