As the Acting Deputy of Regional Development at the Ministry of National Development Planning, Ms. Virgiyanti plays a crucial role in coordinating the integration of national development planning into the long and medium-term National Development Plan. Her responsibilities encompass policy formulation and implementation. In this capacity, she provides oversight for key areas, including the Directorate of Spatial Planning, Land, and Disaster Management, the Directorate of Local Development (encompassing urban, rural, subnational government apparatus and institutions, and regional/subnational government finance), including three regional coordination directorates covering east, west, and central Indonesia. Ms. Virgiyanti brings valuable experience to her current role, having previously served as the Director of Housing and Settlement.
