Yunziyi (Lisa) Lang is a Disaster Risk Management Specialist at the World Bank, based in Islamabad, Pakistan. With a strong background in climate change policy, climate science, and hydrometeorological (hydromet) services delivery, Lisa plays a critical role in the Bank’s operations and technical assistance initiatives in both Afghanistan and Pakistan. She leads the Climate Risk for Early Warning Systems (CREWS) Afghanistan Project and is a core team member of the Sindh Flood Emergency Operations. Lisa is also a lead author of several flagship reports, including the 2023 Post-Disaster Needs Assessment for the Herat Earthquakes in Afghanistan and the 2022 Pakistan Country Climate and Development Report. Prior to her work in the South Asia Region, she spearheaded the development of the Climate Change Knowledge Portal, a key resource supporting the Bank’s climate mainstreaming efforts. Lisa holds a Master's degree in Climate and Society from Columbia University.
